LiFePO4 has earned its place in solar, RV, marine and off-grid storage because it is proven, widely available and supported by mature BMS and charger ecosystems.
Sodium-ion may become attractive where raw-material cost, cold-weather tolerance, transport simplicity or long-term supply diversity matters. The trade-off is that many real-world products are still early, and spec sheets need careful checking.
The sensible approach is chemistry-first, use-case-second and supplier-proof-always. A good sodium product still needs honest capacity ratings, clear charge limits, reliable protection hardware and a warranty backed by someone reachable.
